Kingdom Family Ministry (KFM) is a Christian 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving families in Montgomery County and parts of North Harris County, Texas. Whether a family is seeking spiritual guidance, practical assistance, or both, we offer programs designed to support, strengthen, and uplift in times of need.

Jasmin Speed President Jasmin Speed serves as the Director of the Prairie View A&M University Small Business Development Center, where she leads strategic initiatives that drive entrepreneurship, innovation, and local economic growth across Waller and Grimes counties. Since joining PVAMU in 2020, she has advised and trained hundreds of entrepreneurs, helping them build stronger business models, access capital, and scale with purpose. With over 20 years of experience spanning entrepreneurship, business development, and executive leadership, Jasmin brings a deep, real-world understanding of what it takes to build and sustain successful ventures. Her entrepreneurial background includes ownership of two staffing firms, an Arby’s franchise, and an online employment coaching platform. She’s also an experienced corporate executive, having managed over $1.4 billion in revenue during her tenure in the telecommunications industry. A graduate of Michigan State University, Jasmin also holds certifications from Dartmouth’s Tuck Diversity Business Program and the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program. Her work reflects a consistent focus on empowering small business owners, strengthening community partnerships, and fostering long-term economic resilience.

Minister Wil Davis Co-Founder/Member At Large North Carolina native Wil Davis has established a distinguished career in public service, having honorably served in both the military and the Department of Justice before retiring from law enforcement. He currently holds the position of Director of Security at a prominent hospital in Houston, where he continues to demonstrate leadership and dedication to community safety. In addition to his professional achievements, Wil is an ordained minister with more than two decades of experience in ministry. He has faithfully served in various capacities, including youth, young adult, and marriage ministries, reflecting his enduring commitment to spiritual development, mentorship, and community engagement. Wil also leads Fan Into Flame, an online Bible study group that convenes three times weekly and is now entering its fourth year. Through this initiative, he continues to foster spiritual growth and connection among participants.

Minister Kevin Gunnells Vice President Kevin Gunnells is a respected businessman, dynamic speaker, and ordained minister with a deep commitment to community empowerment. He dedicates his time to educating residents in underserved areas on wealth-building strategies and entrepreneurship, helping to create pathways toward financial independence and long-term success. An accomplished author, Kevin has published more than five books and has inspired countless individuals by sharing his powerful testimony of overcoming childhood trauma through faith. His story offers hope and encouragement to those facing similar challenges. In addition to his work with adults, Kevin is passionate about mentoring youth. He invests significant time guiding young people, helping them navigate life’s challenges and avoid destructive choices. His dedication, experience, and heart for service make him a valuable asset to Kingdom Family Ministry.

Robert Stewart Treasurer With 33 years of distinguished service at ExxonMobil, Robert brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to the board. His professional accomplishments are matched by his deep commitment to community engagement. For the past decade, Robert has faithfully mentored students through the “Students Need A Pat and A Push” program at Calvert Elementary in Houston, Texas. He is also an active member of Anointed Faith Family Church, where he serves in multiple capacities. His unwavering dedication to serving others continues to inspire and uplift those around him. It is both an honor and a privilege to have Robert Stewart serve as Treasurer for Kingdom Family Ministry.

Dr. Irene Briggs Member At Large Dr. Irene Briggs was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She and her two sons moved to the Tomball/NW Houston area in November 1989. Despite many challenges she had to overcome, she loves Houston and knows God planted her there for His purpose and calling. In 2005, the Holy Spirit opened the door for Irene to apply and graduate with a master's degree in organizational leadership studies at Regent University, Virginia Beach, VA. In 2007, she was accepted into the doctoral program at Regent University and earned a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership and Coaching in 2011. The coaching aspect of her degree is the heart of her calling for God’s Kingdom. She enjoys listening to people and learning about their life stories. Her employment in higher education institutions encompasses over 40+ years, including an aviation school in San Antonio, Tomball College, Houston Baptist University, and now Lone Star College-Tomball. She currently serves as Coordinator III, for the Title III STEM Grant Program for LSC-Tomball’s Science Center. Irene loves spending quality time with her family, grandchildren, co-workers, and the church community. As a newly elected KFM board member, she looks forward to serving the community and inspiring people to recognize their value and worth.

Pamela Carnes Member At Large Pamela Carnes is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Carnes Business Solutions Group, LLC. She is a devoted woman of faith, wife, mother of five, accomplished business leader, and former treasurer of multiple community organizations. A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Pamela graduated Cum Laude from South Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She began her professional career with General Electric, where she advanced from the company’s financial management training program to Chief Financial Officer during a distinguished 20-year tenure. Over the course of her corporate career, she led a $400 million organization comprising 16 branch offices and more than 300 employees, while relocating nine times and residing in seven states. In 2017, Pamela leveraged her extensive experience to establish Carnes Business Solutions Group, LLC, a financial services and risk management firm dedicated to developing customized strategies that enhance profitability, productivity, and organizational stability. In addition, she serves as Regional Manager for LegalShield in Houston, a company providing affordable legal and identity theft protection services to individuals and businesses Pamela and her husband, Ted, reside in the Houston, Texas area. She is also the founder of Pam’s Velvet Cakes and the Christian Business Engagement Ministry at Anointed Faith Family Church

Joshua Mackey Member At Large Joshua Mackey is a software developer, engineer, and entrepreneur who enjoys building things- whether that’s scalable software systems or real-world projects from the ground up. As the founder of OarsLand Corporation, he spends most of his time connecting ideas across industries and turning them into practical, working solutions. Through Pluto Mechanisms, Joshua leads the development of web applications, cloud infrastructure, and digital platforms that help businesses grow and operate more efficiently. Outside of software, Joshua has a strong interest in construction, land, and sustainability. His company Solid Staysfocuses on building durable, forward-thinking housing, especially monolithic dome structures, while GreenLove Farms reflects his passion for natural farming and working the land. For him, these ventures aren’t separate; they’re all part of the same bigger picture: building systems that are useful, long-lasting, and grounded in the real world. Joshua didn’t start in tech, his early career was in advertising and marketing as a commercial photographer, which still shapes how he thinks about design, branding, and user experience today. When he’s not working, you’ll usually find him spending time with his family, out on the farm, or putting something together from spare parts just to see how it works. He’s always been curious about what’s next, and while no one knows exactly where the next decade will lead, he hopes it includes seeing humanity progress further.
